about the host, sam benrubi
Over 25 years ago, my wife and I bicycled through the Napa/Sonoma wine country. We absolutely fell in love with the wine, the vineyards, the people, and the food. Upon return to New York, we started collecting California wines and eventually branched out to French, Italian, and other wine countries. I enjoy low-intervention wines grown organically or biodynamically and made by small producers. Prior to The Grape Nation, I created, produced and co-hosted "Wine and Web with Gary Vaynerchuk" on SiriusXM Satellite Radio. I am a longtime collector, wine expert, traveller, and have tasted thousands of wines from around the world.
